Turkic Council Project Director Assan Mazhitov attended the Technical Consultancy Cooperation Conference of the Turkic speaking countries organized by Association of Turkish Consulting Engineers and Architects with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey on 27 April 2017 in Ankara.

In the opening speech, Project Director Mazhitov gave detailed information about the activities of the Turkic Council including Central Transportation Corridor (Trans-Caspian Transportation Corridor) and Sister Ports project in the framework of transport cooperation as well as the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package project and its fam trips within the context of tourism cooperation.

In addition, in his opening speech as guest of honor of the conference, Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly, former Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council and Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ankara, expressed his honor to be a part of the Turkic Council and underlined its importance for the region and the Turkic world. Ambassador Saparbekuly continued by providing information on important steps and plans for further development of relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
Mr. Uğur Öztürk, Director General for Free Zones, Overseas Investment and Services at Ministry of Economy addressed to the participants and gave information about the opportunities and projects in the consultancy sector of Turkey.
A plaque of thanks was presented to the Turkic Council due to its support to the Conference. Mr. Munis Özer, President Association of Turkish Consulting Engineers and Architects expressed his appreciation of the Turkic Council and its activities by allocating a special place to the Turkic Council in his opening address.
Consultancy firms from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey participate in the Conference.
