Turkic Council Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki participated in the Senior Officials Meeting of the Tourism-20 Meeting on 29 September 2015 in Antalya co-organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey within the framework of Turkish G-20 Presidency.
Turkic Council Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki participated in the Senior Officials Meeting of the Tourism-20 Meeting on 29 September 2015 in Antalya co-organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization(UNWTO) and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey within the framework of Turkish G20 Presidency.
In the meeting, the delegates from the G-20 countries and the UN TWO, the European Union, the International Labor Organziation, the Organization of Economy and Cooperation in Europe (OECD), theWorld Travel and Tourism Council and the Turkic Council discussed and finalized the draft declaration to be submitted to the Ministerial Meeting on 30 September 2015.
The declaration serves as a list of recommandations addressed to the G-20 leaders laying down the necessary steps to be taken to support stimulating job creation worldwide through the development of tourism sector.
Taking the floor, Project Director Musabay Baki informed the audience of the activities of the Turkic Council in the field of tourism and underlined the importance of vocational trainings in the process of job creation to ensure the sustaible tourism development.
The meeting was followed with the signing ceremony of UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism in private sector by eight Turkish companies.
