Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan attended the opening ceremony of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) organized on 12 June 2018 in Eskişehir.
Organized in Eskişehir on 12 June 2018 under the auspices of  the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan attended the opening ceremony of  Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which will carry over Azerbaijani gas to Turkey and from this point to Europe. The opening ceremony of TANAP was attended by Heads of States and and Governments as well as energy ministers, managers of energy companies and senior bureaucrats, as well as a number of local and foreign guests.
 
During the ceremony, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, President of TRNC Mustafa Akıncı gave the first gas flow by turning the valve together.
 
TANAP with its total length of 850 kilometers, will run from the Turkish border with Georgia, beginning in the Turkish village of Türkgözü in the Posof district of Ardahan, will run through 20 provinces including Kars, Erzurum, Erzincan, Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Giresun, Sivas, Yozgat, Kırşehir, Kırıkkale, Ankara, Eskişehir, Bilecik, Kütahya, Bursa, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Tekirdağ and Edirne until it ends at the Greek border in the İpsala district of Edirne. From this point, the TAP Pipeline will connect to convey natural gas to European nations.
 
Secretary General Hasan was accompanied by Acting Chief of Protocol Araz Salmanov during the Opening Ceremony.
