Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov attended the reception on the occasion of the “25th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Friendly and Brotherly Countries” given by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on 3 October 2017 at Ankara Palace.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu delivered a speech at the reception attended by members of parliament, chiefs of diplomatic missions located in Ankara, heads of international organizations and bureaucrats. In his speech, he pointed to the level of relations Turkey has reached with friendly and brotherly countries since their independence. Signed on 3 October 2009, Minister Çavuşoğlu also referred to the Nakhchivan Agreement, a fundamental document which set down the legal framework for the establishment of the Turkic Council, and expressed his appreciation with the organization and the work it carried out.

In the course of the reception, Secretary General Hasanov had several contacts with ambassadors of Member States and other countries, TURKSOY Secretary General, President of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, with whom he exchanged views on the Turkic Council’s contribution to the cooperation among the friendly and brotherly states and touched upon the prospective frameworks for collaboration among the mentioned countries.

Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul and Deputy Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs Araz Salmanov accompanied Secretary General Hasanov during the reception.
