Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov held several meetings during the 13th Summit of ECO Heads of State taken place on 1 March 2017 in Islamabad.
In particular, Secretary General Hasanov met and discussed the agenda with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Energy Natiq Aliyev and Head of the Foreign Relations Department and Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov.
Before the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov had an opportunity to meet with Turkey’s Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekçi, Minister of Development Lütfi Elvan, Ministry of Transport, Maritime and Communications Ahmet Arslan and Deputy Secretary General and Spokesperson of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Ambassador İbrahim Kalın.
In the meantime, Secretary General had also bilateral contacts with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akylbek Kamaldinov participating in the summit within the Kazakhstan’s delegation, Mustafa Akıncı, President of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), an observer to ECO, delegation members of the Kyrgyz Republic and a number of ambassadors taking part in the event. Finally, Secretary General thanked the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for their hospitality.
