Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated in the opening reception organized within the framework of the "Sport Integrity Global Alliance" (SIGA) General Assembly by the International Center for Sports Security (ICSS) on 26 July 2017 in Lisbon.
During the reception held with the participation of a large number of country representatives and representatives of competent international organizations, opinions were exchanged on the need to increase the unifying potential of sports, provide equal opportunities in sports activities, take measures to prevent corruption in sports and the effective role of sports in struggling with radicalization.
Secretary General Hasanov had bilateral talks with several high-level participants, in particular with the ICSS President Mohammed Hanzab and SIGA General Coordinator Emanuel Medeiros, during which he informed the counterparts about the activities carried out by the Turkic Council in the field of youth and sports.
Secretary General Hasanov and the SIGA officials discussed possibility of organizing the next SIGA General Assembly in Istanbul under the auspices of Turkic Council, the founding member of the Alliance.
Project Director Ali Çiviler and Head of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied Secretary General Hasanov at the meeting.
