Within the context of his official contacts in Ankara, Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ankara Hazar İbrahim on 22 November 2017.

Secretary General Hasanov first congratulated Ambassador Ibrahim with his new post and wishes him success. Secretary General Hasanov gave detailed information about the ongoing activities and projects of the Turkic Council. He also informed and invited the ambassador to the Workshops that will be arranged by the Turkic Council in the framework of the Global South-South Development (GSSD) EXPO 2017, which will be organized by the UN Office for South South Cooperation (UNOSSC) and hosted by the Republic of Turkey in Antalya on 27-30 November 2017.

Ambassador Ibrahim expressed appreciation with the visit of Secretary General Hasanov underlying the desire and commitment to the close cooperation with the Turkic Council and support of the organization’s activities.

Ambassador Ibrahim also expressed his desire to undertake an extensive activity next year with the Turkic Council on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan People’s Republic.

Secretary General Hasanov presented the plaque of the Turkic Council to the Ambassador in memory of the meeting.

Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul and Advisor to the Secretary General Reshad Gasimov accompanied Secretary General Hasanov during the visit.
