Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council within the framework of his official visit to New York visited Mr. Ertan Yalçın, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in New York on 13 May 2015.
Secretary General Hasanov, informed the Consul General Yalçın about the activities of the Turkic Council, mainly about the works and efforts of the Council on diaspora issues, including Diaspora regional Centers which one is already operating in Kiev, and other Centers planned to be open in Germany, France and the USA.
Consul General Yalçın, welcomed the activities of Turkic Council on diaspora issues and mentioned the significance of the cooperation between diasporas of the Turkic world. Moreover, as the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey he said that he will continue to provide all the support necessary for the activities of the Council.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov presented a gift to the Consul General Yalçın and expressed his gratitude for all the support.
Turkic Council Project Director Zamin Aliyev and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General.
