Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov`s congratulatory message to Ramil Guliyev, a sportsman of Azerbaijani origin, who raced for Turkey and became a World Champion at the World Athletics Championship:
I would like to congratulate Ramil Guliyev, the citizen of the Republic of Turkey and a sportsman of Azerbaijani origin, who became a World Champion finishing the men’s 200m race in 20.09 seconds and won the first gold medal for Turkey at the World Athletics Championship, which took place in London, the capital of the Great Britain London.
His success, the historical achievement, has become the pride of all the Turkic peoples, especially Azerbaijan and Turkey. Ramil Guliyev emboldened and demonstrated our youth with an example that the success can be achieved with determination, self-confidence and disciplined work.
I once again congratulate Ramil Guliyev, who wrote his name in the history by winning the gold medal as a World Champion, and wish the continuation of his success story.
