Turkic Council Secretary General and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a telephone conversation today.
The newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov and the Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E. Baghdad Amreyev held a telephone conversation today on 21 July 2020. 
Conveying his sincere congratulations on the occasion of the appointment of Mr. Jeyhun Bayramov as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Secretary General wished the Minister every success in all his endeavors.
The Minister and the Secretary General expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation among the Turkic Council Member and Observer States and stressed with confidence that these relations will be further developed.
The Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev emphasized the role of the Republic of Azerbaijan as the Chairman-in-Office of the Turkic Council in strengthening and deepening relations among the brotherly Turkic States and informed the Minister that the unity of the Turkic World become more robust and multilateral relations entered to a qualitatively new level after the successfully held VII Summit of the Turkic Council in Baku in October 2019.
The Secretary General also underlined that the Member States of the Turkic Council entered into a new period of cooperation and integration and the Secretariat is now preparing the Turkic Council Strategy 2025 that will enable for deeper cooperation in areas of common interest, greater economic integration and effective coordination of activities towards a single set of objectives. 
Minister Bayramov and Secretary General Amreyev also exchanged views on the important topics of the Turkic Council agenda, recent meetings held at the level of Ministers and agreed on some joint efforts in this direction.
