Turkic Council Secretary General attended the concert of Maqom music dedicated to the 580th anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi in Tashkent
Turkic Council Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev and Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov attended “the Night of Navoi’s Poetry and Melody”, hosted by the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan at the Turkestan Palace in Tashkent on the occasion of the 580th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkic poet and thinker, the prominent statesman Alisher Navoi. 
During the event, the concert performance of the best musical ensembles and groups from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and Uzbek Maqom Art National Center was organized. 
Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev expressed his happiness to enjoy the best performance of Maqom art especially, Bukhara “Shashmaqom”, Khorezm maqom “Six and a half”, dutar maqoms, “Fergana-Tashkent” maqoms, which together form the unique “golden fund” of the centuries-old Uzbek national art of maqom.
The Head of the Turkic Council emphasized that Alisher Navoi in his immortal works propagated the lofty ideals of humanism and universal human values, using the enormous opportunities, wealth, and beauty of his native Turkic language, and firmly took a worthy place in the hearts of millions of readers.
The Secretary General expressed the support of the Turkic Council in further promoting the contribution of outstanding personalities of the Turkic figures in the World civilization.
