Turkic Council Secretary General met with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan 
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Sardor Umurzakov hosted an infromal working dinner for the Turkic Council Secretary General H.E. Baghdad Amreyev.
Deputy Prime Minister welcomed Secretary General and appreciated the role of the Turkic Council in strengthening the relations among the Turkic Council Member States through advancing cooperation in various sectors of the economy, notably trade, transport, investments, energy, and tourism. 
S.Umurzakov expressed the support of Uzbekistan and its readiness to contribute to the timely initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the Turkic Council, as well as institutional development and structural reforming of the Organization.
The Secretary General underscored that since joining the Organization, active participation of Uzbekistan in the activities of the Turkic Council has not only amplified the horizon of comprehensive cooperation within the framework of the Organization but also has sizably empowered the joint potential of Turkic Speaking States.
Baghdad Amreyev briefed Sardor Umurzakov on the latest activities and projects, as well as institutional foundations of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, including recently created Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), the efforts being pursued by the Secretariat for the establishment of the Joint Investment Fund as well as creation of Turkic Development Bank aimed at supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and facilitating the implementation of various investment projects.
Parties also emphasized the broad opportunities for cooperation in the transport and logistics sphere, bearing in mind the implementation of joint projects aimed at building up the transit potential of the Turkic Council Member and Observer States.
B. Amreyev briefed S.Umurzakov on efforts of the Secretariat supporting the creation of a “green corridor for facilitation the movement of essential goods, as well as strengthening the role of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor (Middle Corridor) in the East-West trade movement in reducing logistics costs and increasing the speed of transportation. He also informed the Deputy Prime Minister that a Pilot Project was launched between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on the implementation of freight transport using eTIR electronic books as well as work on the implementation of a pilot system “ePermit” between Uzbekistan and Turkey for digitalization of the process of issuing permits for road transport with the subsequent expansion of the number of states participating in the project.
Secretary General Amreyev congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Sardor Umurzakov on his election as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the highest governing body of the Bank, and conveyed his best wishes for the continued success in his endeavors in the new tenure. He also congratulated him on his election as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Development Bank Group and expressed hope for close cooperation with the Turkic Council.
Deputy Prime-Minister and Secretary General discussed also various topics of multilateral cooperation outlining the further steps to strengthen and encourage investment, intra trade, and economic cooperation within the Turkic Council.
