Turkic Council Secretary General met with Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E. Baghdad Amreyev had a working meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan H.E. Mukhtar Tileuberdi on 23 November 2020 in Nur-Sultan.
During the meeting, Secretary General and the Minister discussed wide range of issues of cooperation within the framework of the Turkic Council and exchanged views on the activities of the Organization for the upcoming period.
Foreign Minister Tileuberdi noted the dynamic development and wide coverage of the activities of the Turkic Council and stressed that Kazakhstan will continue its active support the efforts of the Secretariat to develop multilateral cooperation within the Organization.
Stressing the special role of Kazakhstan in establishing and developing cooperation within the Turkic Council, B. Amreyev expressed gratitude to the leadership of Kazakhstan for their invaluable contributions to the successes of the Organization since its establishment.
Secretary General Anreyev briefed the Minister on the outcomes of his recent contacts with the leaderships of the Member States of the Organization, during which the parties agreed to continue active work to further develop and deepen cooperation, as well as expand joint efforts and mutual support between the member states of the Turkic Council.
During the meeting with M. Tleuberdi and B.Amreyev also discussed a number of current pressing international and regional issues.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a Protocol on the contributions of the member states of the Turkic Council to the budgets of the affiliated organizations of the Turkic Council - the Turkic Academy and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.
