Dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Forum started with the solemn celebrations in honor of the independence day and attended by the Chairman of Cabinet of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Olukbek Maripov. The Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ömer Kocaman, the Mayor of Osh Almaz Mambetov, the Rector of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University Chatkalbai Raiymbaev, and the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sport of the Kyrgyz Republic Soyuzbek Nadirbekov have participated in the event.
The Forum hosted sessions focusing on the ways to strengthen youth cooperation under the Turkic Council, expectations of youth living in the Member States, suggestions regarding the current and future youth and sports activities of the Turkic Council and their development perspectives.
Forum aimed at contributing to the personal development of the Turkic youth, promoting socialization among the youngsters sharing the same history, culture and language, and preparing a future generation of leaders with an increased sense of awareness towards the Turkic World.
Young leaders have made presentations about their respective national youth policies, as well as held discussions on current global tendencies the field of youth policy and priority areas of the youth in the Turkic Council countries.
The Turkic Council 3rd Young Leaders Forum adopted a Resolution comprising their views and proposals. The Resplution will be submitted to the Ministers in charge of Youth and Sports of the Turkic Council at their 5th meeting to be convened in Tashkent on 20 September 2021.
During the Forum the opening ceremony at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University was held in the city of Osh.
On the second day of the Forum, a conference titled “The Role of Youth in Preserving the Spiritual and Traditional Heritage of the Turkic Speaking peoples” was organized at Osh State University with the participation of the academicians and students of the mentioned university.
In the framework of the program, participants also had the opportunity to take excursions to the cultural-historical places of Osh such as Sulaiman-Too, and to visit universities and innovation centers where they were briefed by academic experts on recent developments in their respective fields.
The Forum ended with a gala dinner attended by the Deputy Mayor of Osh Jasur Mahmudovich, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ömer Kocaman, and the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sport of the Kyrgyz Republic Soyuzbek Nadırbekov.
