Turkic Council to observe Azerbaijani Election
Regarding the participation of the Turkic Council
in observation of the Presidential Election in Azerbaijan, October 9, 2013 
 
Upon the invitation of the Azerbaijani Republic, the Joint Election Observation Mission formed by the Turkic Council will monitor the Presidential Election in Azerbaijan on October 9, 2013. 
 Turkic Council’s Joint Mission will carry out its observation activities in Karabakh’s Agdam district.  
 
The Mission is comprised of the members of the Turkic Council Secretariat as well as representatives from the member states, namely, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey.
 
This observation mission will be the third mission commissioned by the Turkic Council to observe elections in member states. Previously, Turkic Council’s joint observation missions monitored the
 
Presidential Election in Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city in October 2011 and Parliamentary Election in Kazakhstan’s South Kazakhstan Province in January 2012.  
 
The Head of the Mission will share his views regarding the Election during a press conference to be held on October 10 in Baku. He will subsequently submit the Mission’s official report to the member states.
