The Second General Assembly of the Turkic University Union operating within the framework of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council), will take place between 11-12 April 2016, in the historic Silk Road city of Erzurum, hosted by the Atatürk University, which is holding the current Chairmanship of the Union.
General Assembly will be attended by the member university rectors and their representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. In addition, representatives from the Council of Higher Education of Turkey will also participate in the General Assembly.
Within the scope of the agenda of the General Assembly, the steps and direction plan as well as determination of the needs towards realization and implementation of Orkhon Process, which was decided to be initiated within the Union, envisaging the student and academic staff mobility, will be discussed.
Additionally, the First Meeting of the Student Council of the Turkic University Union will be held parallel to the General Assembly. The Student Council activities to be held in 2016 within the each participating university in order to strengthen cooperation among the university students of the Turkic world as well as other projects to be realized, will be discussed at the Student Council meeting.
