Turkic Council, TURKSOY and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation delegation visited the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation 
The delegation of the Turkic Council headed by the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Mr. Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of TURKSOY Mr.Dusein Kaseinov and President of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs.Gunay Afandiyeva visited the Agdam and Fuzuli regions of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation on January 17, 2021.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the consequences of the destruction of the historical, cultural, and religious heritage of Azerbaijan during the occupation by Armenia. 
During the visit the delegation examined the ruins of the city of Aghdam particularly the destroyed Juma Mosque, where Armenian forces kept cattle, cultural center and bread museum.
In Fuzuli city delegation saw the traces of Armenian vandalism in the city cemetery, dismantled marble tombstones and destroyed graves, mosques and cultural sites completely erased from the ground.
In the interview with media representatives, Secretary General expressed his deep grief over the humanitarian crisis in Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and stated that such desecration and destruction of cultural and Turkic Islamic religious monuments are contrary to humanity. 
B.Amreyev stressed that the strong role of the Turkic Council during the conflict has proven the relevance of the Organization for the Member States especially in critical times. The organization issued many statements to send a signal to the whole world that the Turkic people stands with brotherly Azerbaijan.
By visiting the construction site of the new Fuzuli International Airport, that the foundation stone was laid by President of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev on 14 January 2021, the Secretary General B.Amreyev pointed out the significance of the project for the economic development of the liberated regions.  
The head of the Turkic Council also stated that the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic Council held on 2 November in Baku aimed to ensure contribution of the business communities of the Turkic world to the realization of restoration projects in the lands freed from occupation.
The heads of the Turkic Council, TURKSOY and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation reaffirmed that they saw with deep regret that Armenia destroyed historical and cultural artifacts belonging to the Turkic-Islamic civilization in the region. 
They also expressed the readiness of Turkic organizations to contribute to the revival of socio-economic and cultural heritage of Karabakh by providing necessary assistance in carrying out restoration works of architectural monuments of the great cultural and historical sites of the Turkic world in the region.
