The Opening Ceremony of the International Conference dedicated to “Livable and Sustainable Heritage Cities” was held on 10 October in Baku on the initiative of the Administration of State Historical-Architectural Reserve “Icherisheher” - a public authority in charge of the Management and Preservation of the Walled Town of Baku.
The Conference was attended by the heads of the administrations and museums of the Turkic cities. The Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Mr. Sadi Jafarov delivered address at the Opening Ceremony of the International Conference.
The Conference participants emphasized that the Turkic Site Managers Network will ensure cooperation among monuments managing authorities of the OTS Member and Observer States, work on the joint projects, promotion of the Turkic monuments and sharing experiences.
With the aim of implementation of the relevant instruction of the Heads of Turkic States, put forward during the OTS Summit held in November 2022, the Participants of the Conference signed Baku Declaration on the establishment of the Turkic Site Managers Network.
