Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov was invited to participate at the “EU – Central Asia Business Forum” on the topic of“Economic cooperation opportunities between Europe and Central Asia” to be held in Jurmala, Latvia, on 4-5 June 2015, co-organized by the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry EUROCHAMBRES and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Within the Business Forum unofficial Meeting of the Turkic Business Council was held on 4 June 2015. Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Marat Sharshekeev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, ElnurAlakbarov, Director of the Foreign Relations Department of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations of Azerbaijan and Dinmuhamed Absattarov, Director of the Department of Regional Development of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan participated at the meeting. Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Turkmenistan Dovran Hojayev also participated at the meeting as a special quest.

Secretary General Hasanov gave information on the outcomes of the third Business Forum of the Turkic Council convened on 24 October 2014 in Nakhchivan city, Azerbaijan, results of the sixth meeting of the working groups on economic cooperation of the Turkic Council held on 15-16 March 2015 in Istanbul, and“B20 Azerbaijan Regional Consultation Forum” held on 12 May 2015 in Baku.
During the meeting issues on round tables of the Heads of National Chambers for the Businessmen in each Member State, technical visit for investors/businessmen of the Member States, establishment of Joint Investment Fund, Turkic Business Prize, establishment of sub-committees on Agriculture, Energy, Logistics and Tourism under the auspices of the Turkic Business Council, next Business Forum and meeting of Turkic Business Council, participation of Turkic Council in 2017 Astana Expo, participation to International Investment Forum of Azerbaijan and future cooperation between Turkic Business Council and EUROCHAMBRES Global Platform were discussed.
