Opening Ceremony of EMITT 2015 ( 19th East Mediterranean Tourism and Trade Exhibition) that is the 5th biggest exhibition in the world was held on 22 January 2015 in Istanbul. Abdurrahman Arıcı Vice-Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul and Vasip Şahin, Governor of Istanbul addressed to the audience at the opening. Abzal Sabarbekuly, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council together with other guests attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the exhibition.

Within the framework of EMITT 2015, Vice-Minister Abdurrahman Arıcı and Deputy Secretary General Abzal Saparbekuly opened the Third Joint Photo Exhibition of the Turkic Council that was materialized by the valuable contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey. The representatives of the Working Group on Tourism Cooperation of the Turkic Council and officials of the Secretariat were present at the opening ceremony. 60 photos from the Member States located along the historical Silk Road are exhibited at the said event. 

The preparation of the exhibition was led by Project Directors Cıldız Uzakova, Yedil Myrzahanov and Pelin Musabay Baki as well as Research Expert Dastan Almen.
